Have you ever wondered what it is like to live in another country? I always have and when I did, I realized it was one of the best experiences of my life that I would want to share with the world. My name is Samar Mohamed and my family is originally from a country in Africa called Sudan. Sudan is the biggest country in northern Africa. My family and I usually vacation to Sudan once every two or three years. In 2007, My parents thought it was a good idea to stay in Sudan for longer than just a vacation and more like an entire year. That year was truly a good experience for me. I had to adapt to the different culture, economic system, and school system. Going from the United States to a different country was a struggle, but also a blessing to be able to get the opportunity. I would like to discuss the fact that there are similarities between the two countries while also displaying huge differences.
